What data we process
Contact form and tasting request form
The forms on the Contact and Tasting pages send the details you enter (name, email, phone, message, and where relevant tasting type, guest count and preferred date) through a small server-side function (Cloudflare Workers), which passes them to the email delivery service Resend; Resend then sends the message to info@vinadurcik.si on our behalf. Both providers use the data solely to deliver this message; Resend keeps a log of sent messages for a period, per its own policy, for delivery reliability. If sending this way fails for any reason, the form automatically falls back to the previous method: it opens your own email client with a pre-filled message for you to send yourself. Once we receive your message, we handle it like any other email we receive, so we can reply or confirm a date.
Server logs
As with any website, our hosting provider's technical logs may record basic visit information (e.g. IP address, access time, browser type) for the operation, security, and troubleshooting of the site.
Google Maps
The Contact page has an embedded map of the cellar's location. It loads automatically when you visit the page, at which point Google may set its own cookies. See Cookies for details.
Analytics and marketing
We currently don't use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or other tracking tools on the site. If we introduce any in the future, we'll update this policy accordingly and ask for your consent first via a consent banner.
Legal basis and retention
We process the data in emails you send us on the basis of your consent (by sending us the message) or to take steps prior to entering into a contract (e.g. arranging a tasting date). Technical data from server logs is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and reliable.
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, or as required by law.
Your rights
Regarding your personal data, you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you,
- correct inaccurate data,
- request erasure,
- restrict processing,
- object to processing,
- data portability.
To exercise these rights, write to us at info@vinadurcik.si. If you believe our processing of your data doesn't comply with the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (www.ip-rs.si).
Third parties
To send messages from the forms on the Contact and Tasting pages, we use Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) and Resend (Resend, Inc.), which process the data solely to deliver your message, in line with their own privacy policies. For the map on the Contact page we use Google Maps, described above. We don't sell your personal data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new features to the site. The date at the top of the page shows the last update.
